The North Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils (NQROC) is a collaborative organisation representing five member-councils:
Our region spans over 80,036 square kilometres, with a population of approximately 238,813 (9% Indigenous). Collectively, North Queensland contributes over $16.5 billion annually to the Queensland economy.
NQROC member councils work collaboratively to solve regional issues and to contribute to the future sustainability of the region.
We advocate on behalf of our region to effectively promote regional positions and priorities as well as ensure that major Local Government issues are addressed by all levels of government.
